This policy explains how Kitchen Warehouse Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit kitchenwarehouse.shop or buy from us.
The privacy law that applies
In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) sets the rules for how businesses handle personal information in the course of commercial activity, and we aim to handle your information in line with it. Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia have their own private-sector privacy laws, which in some cases apply instead of PIPEDA, depending on where you live and how your information is handled.

What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number and shipping address (street, city, postal code, province and country) when you place an order, and anything you write to us through the contact form or by email.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe or PayPal on their own secure pages. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type and the pages you view, collected through cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- to take, pack and ship your order and send you order and tracking emails;
- to answer your questions and handle returns and complaints;
- to understand how the site is used so we can improve it, where you have accepted analytics cookies;
- to prevent fraud and keep the store secure, and to keep the business records the law requires.
If we ever send you marketing emails, we will do so only with your consent, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the services that run the store: Stripe and PayPal for payments, the couriers who deliver your order, our website host, our order database and email provider, and Google Analytics where you have given consent. The chat assistant on the site passes what you type to its provider in order to answer you. Each provider uses the information only to deliver its service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
Information processed outside Canada
Our company and some of our team are based outside Canada, and several of the service providers above store or process information outside Canada. While your information is in another country, the courts, law enforcement and other authorities there may be able to access it under that country's laws.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for the order, returns and our record-keeping obligations, and then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices and rights
- Ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Withdraw your consent to some uses of your information, such as marketing emails. We will explain if withdrawing it means we cannot provide a service, such as completing an order.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or to the privacy commissioner of your province where its own privacy law applies.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and payments are taken by the payment providers rather than on this site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post any change on this page with a new "last updated" date.
